My Burberry was launched in 2014. It was inspired by the cult trench coat of the Burberry brand and a London Garden after rain. The flacon of the fragrance My Burberry is made of glass, with a stopper inspired by the button of a Burberry trench coat. The color is honey-beige, also taken from the cult trench. The neck of the bottle features a ribbon made of the same fabric as the Burberry trench from a factory in Castleford, Yorkshire. The nose behind this fragrance is Francis Kurkdjian.
The composition of My Burberry opens with sweet peas and citrusy notes of bergamot leading to geranium, freesia flowers and golden quince in the heart. The fragrance is rounded up with patchouli in the base, joined with Damascus and Centifolia rose. Top notes are Sweet Pea, Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Grapefruit and Lemon; middle notes are Quince, Freesia, Geranium, Peach, Green Notes, Gardenia and Passionfruit; base notes are Damask Rose, Rose, Patchouli, Musk, Leather and Violet.
What Drew Me To This Fragrance?
The effortlessly chic scent is understated. It's like a classy looking woman in a trench coat driving in the rain. A warm floral with a hint of spice. Powdery, soapy & mature but still has that chic sense in it. A perfect scent for Autumn/Fall. I'm including it in My Autumn Obsession Collection (click here to explore full post). Is It Worth The Cost?
No need to overspray this one. It comes out loud & strong but settles down nicely.
Longevity is an easy 5-6 plus hours on your skin, longer on hair & clothes. It's well balanced with a good sillage. People will notice without coming to close and should leave a good scent trail with your movements. YOUR skin is always the true ingredient in how a perfume will perform, so do your test runs.
